Hypnosis invariably makes people feel better. People usually leave a session feeling better than when they came in; more relaxed, more positive. Why not learn form a book or tape?

Many people try this method and although some will be successful many more will be disappointed in the results. The reason why many people have trouble learning Self Hypnosis form books and tapes is that unless they have have been hypnotised previously, they have no idea of what it feels like to be in a hypnotic state. Because they are aimed at mass markets books and tapes usually use generalisations to try and appeal to a broad spectrum of people whereas Hypnosis is by its very nature a highly personal experience.

When you learn Self Hypnosis with a trained Hypnotherapist the experience is tailored to your modalities and your needs and you have the benefit of knowing what the trance state feels like at first hand.
